Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 June 2026
This policy explains what information Jurnol collects when you register your interest on this site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers this coming-soon page only; a fuller policy will accompany the product when it launches.
Who we are
Jurnol is operated by [operator - Phil Parkinson / the Jurnol company, to be confirmed]("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us about privacy at [contact email] [postal address, if required].
What we collect
- Your email address, when you submit the sign-up form.
- Your contact preference - whether you ticked the box to be emailed about the launch.
- A referral code, if you arrived through a referral or campaign link (the
refvalue in the URL), so we can attribute your sign-up and apply any launch offer. - The date and time you signed up.
- Anti-spam signals - when you use the form, Google reCAPTCHA processes limited technical data (including your IP address and interactions) to tell real people from bots.
We do not ask for your name, and we don't run analytics or advertising trackers on this site today. See the Cookiesnotice for what's stored in your browser.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To email you about the launch - only if you asked us to. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To prevent spam and abuse of the sign-up form (reCAPTCHA). Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the form secure.
- To attribute referrals and apply any launch offer tied to a referral. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running the referral programme.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site, who process it on our instructions:
- Supabase - stores the sign-up list (database hosting).
- Vercel - hosts the website.
- Google - provides reCAPTCHA spam protection.
- When we send the launch email, a third-party email delivery provider will process your address to deliver it.
Where your data is stored
The sign-up list is stored in the European Union (Ireland). Some providers, such as Google, may process limited data outside the UK/EU; where that happens it is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK's International Data Transfer terms or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your sign-up details until the launch and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to delete them or withdraw your consent, whichever comes first. We don't keep them longer than we need to.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or port it elsewhere, and you can withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, email [contact email]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
Jurnol will be an 18+ service, and this page isn't directed at children. Please don't register if you are under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product develops. We'll change the date above when we do.
